Civic IQ Lab

Useful AI tools for work, community, creativity, and everyday life.

A growing collection of prompts, assistants, and practical workflows built to help people think better, plan better, and solve real problems.

Some tools are serious. Some are surprisingly practical. A few may have dirt under their fingernails.

What is Civic IQ Lab?

Civic IQ Lab is our public shelf for open intelligence experiments: practical AI tools, prompts, and workflows that help people navigate real-world questions.

Some tools support nonprofits, civic leaders, and fundraisers. Others help with creative reflection, oral history, career navigation, gardening, or everyday decision-making.

The point is not randomness. The point is useful intelligence.

Practical
Tools should help people do something clearer, faster, or better.
Accessible
Tools should be understandable to people who are not AI experts.
Community-minded
Tools should respect people, context, privacy, and lived experience.

How to use these tools

  1. Pick a tool. Choose the tool that matches the problem you are trying to solve.
  2. Add your context. Location, goals, constraints, audience, photos, and examples all help.
  3. Treat the result as a draft. Use the output as a starting point, not a final authority.
  4. Share what works. The Lab gets better when people contribute examples, improvements, and new tools.

Have a useful tool to share?

We are looking for practical prompts, assistants, and workflows that help people solve real problems. They do not have to be polished products. Experiments are welcome.
